Default The Kennedy Project: Nantucket Picnic

So i started a build thread on the vortex but i though i would post up on here as well.

Anywho... for those that don't know i just got a Corrado SLC over memorial day weekend and i have started a build on it for the summer so far progress has been going pretty good and i am so happy to be working on something new, i have been trapped in the asian market for too many years and this is my first euro but, don't worry i have always been about building clean cars and this will be no different.

The plan so far is to take care of a lot of maintenance things first then coils, suede, and paint but here is a full build list

    :engine:
    Timing chain set
    serp belt w/ tensioner
    waterpump w/ metal impeller
    new A/C compressor
    lot of new gaskets

    :suspension / brakes:
    brembo slotted rotors
    new pads
    ss brakelines
    Vmaxx coils

    :Wheels:
    Porsche seven slots
    Falken FK-452 Tires

    :Exterior:
    new paint
shave rear emblem, door handles, Antenna

    :Interior:
    Kenwood KVT-512 headunit
new amps and speakers (have yet to plan out)
    Eurojet Benna seats
    4-point cage w/ harness bar
    Euro A-Pillar trim
Peanut Butter suede on pillars, Headliner, Doors, Rear Cards, Rear seats...
    4-Point harnesses

    The car came with...
    Euro lip
    E-Codes
    Eyebrow
Neuspeed springs and short shifter and chip
    Bilstein Shocks
    K/N filter in stock box
    removed suitcase muffler

Alright with that taken care of let get to the progress.

Here is the car when i brought her home

And here she is in her new home

On the drive back i promptly ordered a new headunit since the one in there didn't really work and installed it as soon as it came in

I then got new plates for the car and you wouldn't believe what the first three letters are...

Then i went to a fabric outlet up north that was having a sale and picked up 12 yards of PB suede for about 120 bucks not bad

Then the night before Volksort4 i tore some of the interior out and started working

Woke up the next morning and it was off to my first Euro show, Volksport4. I still can't believe how great it was i met so many nice people and took home second for Corrado as you all know the lighting was terrible so i didn't get many pics. I loved all of your questions and comments they really helped me in shaping the build so to everyone i talked to thanks

When i got home from the show i ordered my Seven Slots and they get here tomorrow and then next up is a giant order of parts. The front end it being taken apart in prep for that early next week so stay tuned!

alright it has been a while sorry for not updating this thread i have been good with the vortex one but whatever. i got a some stuff done, but not everything i got down the the timing chains and they looked like they had just bee replaced (PO thought they had been done at 60K car has 100K on it) so instead of wasting the kit i am waiting till the motor is pulled this winter when it is built for boost. other then that i am really happy with how things turned out the intake manifold and valve cover look great in the car and the cleaned up wiring makes a big difference. picks speak louder then words so here we go.

thanks to everyone that helped out with the build and mike for mounting my tires today
