I filled out the online info but haven't gotten anything in the mail. I too am leaning on the cash "fix" option.

Ive heard of a few locals to me in WA getting packets in the mail from VW concerning the buyback option. Anybody received one of those yet?
I received packets for both cars last week. Pretty much everything we already knew

I was out of town for the last 2 weeks, but when I got home, my info packet was waiting for me. Pretty much everything we already knew, but yes, it confirms, that if VW does not repair the vehicles, they will be recycled.

Also, it lists attorneys for the "class" to contact free of charge with any questions or concerns.

We got 3 packets. Odd since we've only had the 2 cars!

Just did my registration online, looks like we are due $2550 for the Jetta and $2900 for the Passat. They offered to buy it for ~$17k, but not sure what we'd get instead of it.

Anyone want to wire up my 2013 Golf seats into my 2006 Jetta?

a lot of these have posted up. unless you have a place to store doors and glass I think you'd just doing it out of spite and not really selling stock parts for cash. would be funny arriving at VW sitting on a milk crate.

So filed for a claim on October 31, turned in all of the necessary paperwork to process my claim on 11/15. Still waiting for an offer.

I hate to say it but did people really think they could get away with this? stripping the car down to get back at VW sounds a little childish.
    On top of that,
those complaining that the cars are not as eco friendly as promised, congrats, disposing of those parts is likely to be less eco friendly than giving them to VW to dispose of.
those cashing in on the buyback because why not? why bother? There isn't really any of those cars around to buy your parts now.
those upset a corporation lied to them, better give back half of their purchased belongings. most corporations have lied to us.

in the grand scheme of things, didn't these things test out (actual value - cheating software) at far under what some american trucks emit factory?

I filed on 10.23, submitted everything on 10.31, and got my offer 12.08. I just haven't gotten around to getting the paperwork notarized and sent back. I was planning on keeping the car through winter anyway, so I'm not in a huge hurry.

Can you get the settlement before they have an approved fix?

What Matt said, although I still want to get the paperwork submitted so the ball is in their court when the time comes.
