I find it hard to believe that H&R would be physically able to make a poor spring in this day and age.

Guess I missed that part in the specs. Does anyone sell a diesel that doesn't require that stuff?

I have seen some AdBlue available at Holiday stations on I35, its going to become more available soon as most all new diesels require it.

This could very well be the source of bad reviews. I recall a short while that I had some Koni lowering springs with stock struts in one of my old saabs. It was terrible. Got some Koni shocks/struts to go with the springs and it felt just about as comfortable as stock.

This is news to me! I have a 2013 Sedan TDI and it has the solid rear axle, but i was under the impression that sportwagens had independent rear suspension. Anyway, ECS has a bushing that allows for the installation of most independent rear suspension only coilovers and shocks. I don't know if they work, but they are available for the Sedan anyway.

Filled up for the first time yesterday. Averaged 34mpg. Not bad considering that is about 85% city driving, plus plenty of times parked and idling while I was doing work.

Don't diesels have a significant mpg boost after break in as well?

We never saw that although people always talk about it. "Just breaking in at 100k!"

So how are you liking it so far? What kind of mileage are you getting city and hwy?

I haven't been able to do a full highway tank yet. According to the computer though, HWY I'm averaging 40-42. I've run through 3 tanks so far. I'm averaging low 30's overall right now, but that is with mostly real city miles plus lots of sitting around idling because I work out of my car and it has beeen ridiculously hot lately so I've been running the AC. I'm happy with the efficieny so far, my Fusion would barely crack 20mpg through the work day.

The car is EPA rated 31 city 43 hwy, 35 combined.

I do have a few complaints, though they are very minor.
-the leatherette seats seem to hold a lot of heat
-the resolution on the backup camera is hilariously bad
-I'm still getting used to the gearbox, I've thought I was in 1st and was actually in 3rd a few times now, resulting in embarassing stalls
-the keyless entry is annoying when washing the car. it constantly locks and unlocks the car if you leave the key in your pocket.

Essentially, the car has been great, I just have a few things I need to get used to.
