Trim arrived this morning...thumbs up. Taking down headliner today and disinfecting all surfaces in the interior.

Being I'm new to these VW's I didn't really give it much thought... this car was fitted with a ARA cruise control set-up. Anyone know anything about those? I just assumed, initially glancing at it, that it was a factory option. I guess I'll have to wait and see if it actually works. Might be a while but I'll be nice to have if it does indeed work.

I may have one of those cruise control kits sitting in my garage. I know its got instructions, just don't know if it's the same brand or not, it may be from an early rabbit ('75 maybe). I'll check when I get home

I would have to say, dealing with the mousey party under the headliner has been the least enjoyable part of this process so far. Damn nasty. Looking at it before I tore it down you wouldn't know how bad it was. Looked fine, but I knew better. Looking at the photo's I'm sure you can about imagine the smell.

It's pretty obvious new material is in order.

    Till next time....

Washed the carpet a few times in the past week. Dried and vacuumed. It's worth reusing...at least for now.

Taking a break for a little while until I get more of my parts in.

Wow, that actually looks pretty damn good considering what was living in there.

Hope you can save it. Aftermarket carpets never seem to look 100%.

Judging how the season is evolving the seat revival project I have planned is probably going to happen over the winter. Upholstery fabric hunting sucks.

Was that a spare tire-well aux tank? If so, are you planning to use it?

Smell attack, I get headaches anytime I have to bravely enter a store like that.

Yes and yes. I plan on taking this car across country every now and then.
