Any pictures from the weekend? A co-worker who is a vol-fireman/EMT was at the event telling me about all the carnage.

Oh dear, not that again... Welcome to MN.

If you don't like BMWs on the podium go to other regions. Spokane didn't have any in the top 10, iirc.

Or we could just bitch about the darn cheaty E30s. 6 of 6 podium spots.

Or maybe it's not just the cars, but the drivers as well. Look at the resumes of the top teams drivers.

And the fact that the field was like 40% BMWs

I bitched about it then and probably will still bitch about it even though I haven't run for a few years. It was just starting to get bad when I got out. I brought it up because I haven't looked at race results in a couple years, just hit me hard when I saw SO many BMW's there.

Will it be 80% BMW in another 5 years?

In that thread I read a lot about how they were starting cars at BIR (circulating random start) and they said it was too dangerous to start them between 11 and 12.

Why don't they start them between 13 and 1?

I agree it doesn't REALLY matter (the fast cars will filter to the front no matter how you start) but more curious is all.

In MN maybe. We have a strong BMW CCA group here with lots of good drivers and instructors. It's a midwest thing.

I think it's funny that they restricted the E36 to stock, so many teams switched to E30s. Even TBR is now running an E30.

Saabs have been winning a lot other regions.

In September the whole AIV thing goes away and they are assigning car values. It should be interesting to see how things shake out.
