I forgot about that XJ with the Cummins swap. Damn, I want one of those.
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

    The 4Bt is 3.9L, the 4At is 2.3L

I opted for the smaller engine since I use the jeep offroad, mainly rock crawling, where I desired the lower weight, but also don't need wheel-spinning speed (mudding for example). Just need to crawl over big rocks, and be able to daily drive as well. It's not a speed demon, but it works.

Welcome to Jeepwerks. This forum is way better than any of the Jeep/Wrangler forums I have found, and apparently a lot of members own Jeeps.

My girlfriend and I bought this in Dec:

I drove it to Palmer's the night I bought it. He fondled it and said he wanted one. Here we are 3 months later and he's got one too.

Its been great, except that it has already cracked its second windshield.

Yeah, that's pretty much what happened.

It's a very vertical windshield, so instead of the rocks deflecting off, they break the window instead. I also have another, more paranoid theory as well.

There is an open gap between the front bumper, and the bottom of the leading edge of the fender, illustrated here:

I think that rocks can get stuck in the tire tread, and then when you get up to highway speed, they fling out through the opening, and then wind up flying back chipping the windshield. Probably not, but I bet it's happened. Maybe once. Probably not though.
