Default Hello, beautiful. My 05 Legacy GT

    Fuck that maxima.

    I bought this on thursday.

2005 Legacy GT Wagon, 5MT, 2.5 turbo, AWD, yay.

I love this thing. It's fast, it's comfortable, the stereo rocks, it's fun to drive...

Can't wait to start the new chapter of my automotive life.

    You've redeemed yourself.

Nice score dude. Any other plans than just driving it?

STi brakes, susp, sways. 16g turbo, up pipe, downpipe, exhaust, tune.

    18" bbs lm wheels.

according to the finance minister, i'm not allowed to mod it till a) after the wedding or b) the stock turbo goes out.

    german wheels at least?

not giving up on euros. i'm going to be looking for a project for next winter, and my brain is shouting old school euro at me.

like air cooled vw, 80's bmw, or old audi.

    edit.

I don't think i ever could give up completely on the euro scene. If it weren't for this community, i would never be into wagons, wouldn't know nearly as much as i do now about cars, and wouldn't have nearly as many friends. this whole community has been absolutely amazing to me, and i couldn't actually ever leave it.

regardless of what i drive, i will always have euro in me.

or BBS wheels on my lesbian jap wagon.

A fine replacement. I loved driving my aunt's around over the holidays.

Don't the turbos on these fail fairly early?

    Nice find regardless!

One of my employees had his 07GT into service 3 times for turbo failure. Subaru covered the repair as it was under warranty but still a huge hassle. I guess the good news is you can look forward to a speedy upgrade!

the issue is a clogged filter on the banjo bolt leading to the turbo oil feed line.

if that gets clogged, it can starve the turbo of oil leading to fun.

first mod that's free: removing that filter.

i'm at 93k miles on the stock turbo, so we'll see what happens.

Nice. I mildly approve, still would rather have a euro

These are cool cars though, much better that its a turbo. Did you look at forester xt's? I'm not sure on the price differentiation but those are super cool too. As much as I'd love a jap car, I always think of the euro counterpart and go that route. Maybe I'm stupid as the japanese cars are nice. Good luck with it!

And do you still have those tires? I may be interested in them again if my wheels sell outright.
