working on wheels to fund buying more parts. very little left to buy but i need to get a bunch of stuff before i start wiring.

not posting updates until i have something to actually update.

if people have wheel work they need me to do let me know. I am trying to save more money this year (looking to buy a house sometime after i graduate from school) and as a result i am going to fund the opel with money i get from doing wheel work.

I'm currently working out how to fit the new Summit universal heater box and how to route to the vents. The car currently has defrost and footwell vents fed by the air box and ones in the kick panels and the side of the dash fed by outside air. I'd like to add some vents in the radio spot since I'm going to use a Bluetooth amp.

I also just ordered the 30mm long Jenvey itbs. That should give me enough room for trumpets and still be able to use a plenum. The header is right below the intake so I don't want to pull in warm air.

I'm looking at clutches too. The one I have is still good, but it's a six pack and Alex and the guy who owned it for a long time said it was like an on/off switch. I'd like to get something a little more linear. The aluminum flywheel allows it to use a 9" S-10 v6 clutch so they're cheap and easily acquired.

After I get the clutch, I'll install the engine and trans. I'm still debating if I will use the universal wiring kit or the stock wiring. Everything in front of the firewall has to be redone anyway and the stock fusebox uses the old euro barrel type fuses.

I removed the gas tank and I'm making plans to retrofit an in-tank pump. I'll be adding a sump in the middle with trap doors on the sides. There are a number of off the shelf kits, but they start at $230 and go north of there real quick. I have the tools and equipment to make my own so why not?

Here's where the car is sitting now:

I'm going to drop the front suspension cross member and check, replace and add hardware where necessary and retorque everything.

Suspension cross member is out. There were only 4 of the 9 bolts/nuts holding it in place. Pretty much every nut and bolt on the control arms/leaf are finger tight.

Old sealed beam next to the new replaceable H4s. The trim rings cleaned up really nicely with some Mothers chrome polish.
