Default Is the VW scene in MN on the decline?

...Compared to back in 2006 when there were 3 PVW show cars and much more activity in our little community, where do you see VWs in MN in 3 years? Will we ever see another PVW car built in MN?

Not saying being in PVW is the only thing modding cars is about, but its pretty cool to say you know someone in it.

I know Olson is still in full force, but is anyone else building anything equivalent to that of Zach, Tony, Olson or J Hull?

just wait till my car, tim's car, davis's car jess's car, mallman's car and many many others are done in the spring.

oh and Rob's a4 was just in PVW

I really think our scene is on the rise plus i think we are really close nit here in the midwest which makes it even better in my book
I almost said a curse word!

not to mention the community strength is about its members not on how many cars get into magazines...

    As did I.

I'm fine with other parts of the country getting in pee-pee waving contests about who has a better "scene" based on magazine covers.

Pretty hard to beat ours, if you ask me. And this is coming from someone who drives two cars that are pretty far out of the usual "euro" scene, but still feels somewhat welcome, despite fagin up the place.

not to mention jeffs car in eurotuner, and soon in PVW. chads car was in PVW, pauls scirocco was in eurotuner last year. I think its stronger than most scenes out there to be honest....

I'm about ready to jump back into my project, with a few changes to the plan. It will turn some heads when its done. As long as I can stay focused on it.

As far as the Saab comment, I know it was a joke but I like what they bring to the community. They're weird and ugly, yes, but that's why they make 10,000whp from an exhaust upgrade.

It seems like the MN scene has shifted from weekly University meets, Rock Falls runs, Fall Tours, and S&L parties TO basically an online community. Yes there are still events, but it doesn't seem as strong as it used to be and a lot of the people that were hardcore into the cars 5 or 6 years ago, are gone now. I don't know if I'd say the scene is on the decline, but I would say it's changed A LOT since Volksport shut down.
