Default Looking to get some body work done.

This is kind of a long shot but i'll try.. I Went and got a quote from the folks by my house, Southport autobody, they have been family friends for years. anyways i got the damage for the rocker panels and rust/dent issues on the car. Total with paint is coming to 4700 or so. rocker panels alone with labor and paint is $1500

Really looking for someone who can offer me the same service as a professional for maybe a bit cheaper price.

Southport does great work, but thats a good amount of dough.

I was planning to get this work done in August, i need a few months to save up.

Rust repair isn't cheap. A lot of shops won't even touch it just because even if you do it RIGHT, the chance of the rust coming back is still pretty good.

yea they are going to have to cut out all the spots with rust, and weld in new pieces. I wont be driving this in the winter after everything gets fixed.

for 4700 i would just buy a rust free shell and swap all your current parts into the new shell... less chance of rust and this way everything can start out fresh. it's like putting makeup on an ugo, yeah she'll look ok, but come the next morning when all that makeup has rubbed off it'll be like waking up next to star jones

Its a little hard to find a windsor blue shell, The floors are solid and the frame is good. Not to mention i have no space to be transferring parts unless someone wants to lend a huge helping hand and a garage then i would get a shell haha
