    Im posting this up for my cousin. The car is located in Chicago, and ive been drooling over it for the last 10 years. Since i cant buy it, i figured i can put it up for him to see if there is any interest..

    The time has come to part with my project car. I've been putting off doing the intercooler and manual steering rack for far too long, with a baby on the way its time to let somebody who has more time give it some love. All modifications done by yours truly (minus the custom intake manifold by a Roush fabricator). I drive it once every few weeks.

    1992 Montana Green GTI 8v ~115k miles on chassis (odometer broke long ago)
    G60 block had ~115k miles
    Xflow head had 35k miles
    I've, at most, put 5000 miles on the car since the engine/tranny swap.

    Asking $5,500 obo - have way more than that in mods
    not looking to trade

    ∙1.8L 8v G60 engine (PG block)
    ∙ATP turbo manifold (Cyl #1 runner EGT tapped, ceramic coated)
    ∙Turbonetics T3/60 .48ar (@ 10psi) (exhaust side ceramic coated)
    ∙ATP downpipe
    ∙ABA X-Flow head
    ∙Techtonics 268/260 turbo cam
    ∙Custom short runner manifold with velocity stacks
    ∙ABA fuel rail & FPR w/ G60 green-top injectors
    ∙Digifant 1 (currently unmodified)
    ∙Brospeed exhaust w/ dual DTM tip
    ∙Deleted G60 brackets and accessories replaced with MK3 bracket & alternator (no A/C)

    So, my cousin still has this thing... He offered it to me for what i think is a pretty decent deal. Ugh, anyone want to buy my kidneys???

    I guess Ive just always loved this color. And its kind of sentimental after watching everything he has done to it for the last 11 years.

    Niche car, for a Niche person, at a Niche price. You've probably got plenty of time to save the money and buy it from him... or find a stock one for 1/3rd of the price, and buy the mods off of him that you like.

    I completely understand, it is definitely in need of some reworking of the setup but it appears that the car is rust free which makes it valuable just in that. I have always loved mk2's but keep buying mk4's since I already have spare parts for most of it.

    The easy things to replace are the only part that is "terribly set up". The core is there to build off of. The O2a trans conversion is a huge plus in my opinion, and I would want that more than a DOHC.

    The cheapest way to make enough power to smash the gears in that trans is with an 8v.
