I was going to use this in the mk1. complete motor, charger, ecu, wire harness, exhaust manny i.c. and piping.

Motor has 130k on it iirc. Charger was rebuilt at 100ish. Charger spins, and makes 8-9 lbs according to vdo gauge.

The motor ran rich when I pulled it. I think it was the blue cts.

$400, the charger alone will fetch that on ebay.

Holy cheap, batman!

Good luck! Wish I had the cash! I've been wanting to build a rusty beat up 4 door mk2 g60 golf.

Tis cheap I know, I wanted to put it in the mk1 with a lysholm eventually down the line but no more mk1=no more swap. :(

Eric, I do have the trans but I plan on using it.

i may be interested, let me do some research. did it burn oil? or leak anything? when was the last tbelt/waterpump done?

it did not burn oil. maybe a few drops made it to the ground, nothing abnormal though. I do not know when tbelt or water pump was done last.

so u did drive the car with this motor in it? did it pull good? no hesitation or anything?

yes it was in my corrado. pulled good, no hesitation but before I tore the car apart it started running very rich unless you were on the boost. I replaced the 1 meter vac line (it was kind of spongey) and adjusted the co-pot. Still rich.
That leaves 3 things to try that I didn't get to: blue cts, o2, and worst case scenario digi ecu

or trade for a good running vr6 motor, accessories don't even need to be on it.

bump, I want to buy Chris' vr as mine vr donor motor has rod knock.

Or for $1500 I'll sell you a complete g60 turbo conversion, with a motor to boot! I keep the charger if that route. I paid 1800 or something for the conversion.

Hey Dean thanks for delivering tonight! I know this will come as a surprise to some of you, but I bought it just to part it out. So let me know if anybody wants anything off of it.

thank you for buying it! And I'm not suprised, because I know how much you like storing parts in your garage. :)
