    Default Feeler WTT- '88 rocco 16v for mk2, mk3, b3, etc

    So,
same thread, different month. Thinking I'd like to trade my '88 16v project rocco for a mk2 diesel or gti, b3 (especially), mk3, old audi, etc. Would do a part trade, too. I love trades. I'd even highly consider an auto b3.

Title still in po's name. Needs cv axles and motor mounts. Has 2 bolts on the lower intake mani with stripped heads, 1 or 2 bolts on the throttle body with stripped heads (I'm a moron and didn't fully clean the head out). Needs new doors (rusty), I have found a pair for 40 bucks. Comes with some really trashed teardrops. Needs a little exhaust work. 188k on the clock. I put a new trans (7a) and clutch in.

Still kind of a feeler at this point, I'm kind of attached to this car, but I'm not sure why. Mainly because I don't want to kill a scirocco by selling it. I *really* would like to see this car remain around, and not be parted.

    Folder of newer pix.

So it was a joke, poking fun at my comment? Damnit, I'm confused. When people don't use smilies, it messes me up. I said partial trade, too. The car in trade also need not run if it is a b3 or mk3.

Now back to trying to sell/trade my car I probably want to much for.

How much to buy outright? I don't have the cash for it right now, just curious.

Car decision flavor of the week is...

Seriously though, I bet it would a much better decision for you to get rid of this and buy something that runs. Focus on that Rabbit of yours with your spare time.

    Re: the add comment

Yeah, no shit. Never went to see anyone about it, but the questionaires I've went through (like pamphlets and stuff) say yes.

Eric, I'm looking for 650 obo. But it's kind of a different obo. You see, as a vw owner, everyone elses' cars are too expensive, but mine isn't worth enough. So it's a little firm, but not like firm firm. But not like lowball me 300 bucks obo. It's like maybe $50 lower obo.

I'd make some sex joke or comparison with the firmness and the price, but I'm not feeling like trying to make funny remarks, nor would I end up being funny, nor do I actually have experience to draw that comparison from.

I hate and love this goddamn car! Frick! You see, I love it and want to drive it, but don't know if I could throw all that money and time into it. I think, well, it's just a mk2 rocco. Then I think, "well, it is a mk2 16v rocco, only like 3k '88s were made, kinda rare now." Shit, I dunno. Aaron, please don't be offended, but no deal if you're going to part it or do 16v swap into a rabbit.

I love buying cars, hate selling them.

What do you guys think? Sell the rocco and let it be parted out, shell gets crushed, or find a good home for it and take a little less money for it?

Dude, get rid of it. Its pretty clear that if you keep it its going to sit for a while, and probably rot away. Start with something either running, or more solid. Starting a project with a non-solid, non-running car is pretty difficult when you're only 17 or 18 in my opinion.

I know a guy in Madison here who just crashed his 1998 k2 jetta, it still drives. I haven't seen it, though. He was thinking of selling it flat out for 800 but I'm pretty sure he'd go cheaper He's a good guy, but a bit all over the place. He might be into a trade, if you could get the scirocco running enough to drive down here.
