    Default Exhaust Help

I purchased a used aftermarket APR cat-back exhaust system from a guy on VW Vortex. Here is a picture of the APR on my car.

What I thought I was getting was the APR 2.5" cat-back system that bolts directly to the OEM catalytic converter. http://goapr.com/Audi/products/apr_exhaust_tt.html

What I actually received was the cat-back portion of the FULL APR 3" exhaust system. http://goapr.com/Audi/products/apr_exhaust_3intt.html

The problem: The APR pipe from the muffler to the cat is approximately 18" shorter than the OEM system. The 'missing' section will also need to go from 2.5" (Cat OD) to 3" (APR Pipe).

Any suggestions of where to get a pipe fabricated to 'complete' the exhaust?

Like everyone mentioned, I'm sure Chuck can take care of it. Really, any half decent muffler shop though, but I'm sure Chuck would be cheaper/better.

Thanks, I sent a PM to Kooter. So, did I get a better deal than I thought?

Just wondering about the 1/2" increase in the pipe size!

Well, being that it's just a cat-back, the smallest exhaust diameter hasn't changed. So, performance wise, I wouldn't expect the 1/2" increase to change anything. Either way, it looks sweet!

And you will be VERY happy with the way it sounds... I have an APR 2.5"TB setup and it sounds very nice.

The APR exhaust is on the car. My son and his friend were able to apply a temporary fix until I can get it over to Chuck at BF.

I like the sound, not too loud but definitely better than stock! Unfortunately, the temporary solution looks like it belongs on an old Chevy or Ford

I utilized about 6' of that stuff on the rabbit. When I bought it, it had a half hacksawed off downpipe and a rusted out rear muffler. 2 clamps and some wire and I was good. It scraped sometimes, backing out of driveways and stuff, though.
