Default RS/BF! turbo bmw 323 build thread.

Its a 2000 323 bmw thats gstting a GT35r,PT 600 intercooler, tial 44mm V band WG,Tial BOV,and probably AEM for engine management.I just drew up the flange files for the head flanges and we pulled off all the old parts and are waiting for a few things to arrive to get rolling on this project.I'll try to get some pics up later today.

Easier to order a kit for the supercharger.

Chuck did you get the M50 turbo manifolds done? I am looking to go that direction this summer?

This is huge debate but, do you think it is better to turbo or supercharge the m50? M20? I was thinking supercharger for m50 because of the around town availability. My project car is the e30 (m20) and im not sure what to do for that one either... What is your price range for doing a turbo setup on a m20? Thanks!!!

I would always choose the turbo route because every supercharger system I have ever seen has always let the owner out when they wanted more power.

The M50 manifold should be the same as what I am building for this car.

I will be concentrating much more on my e30 first. Do/can you make a turbo setup for it?

Go to r3vlimited and the boost section...there is EVERYTHING that you and Chuck will need. I would turbo the M20, the only bad thing is the timing BELT, but just replace it every 30-40k miles and you are ok. Most of the E30 guys can push 5-600 horse easy on the M20 motors, if you need more like the 9-1000 range you will have to switch out your rocker arms, those are the only things that really hold back the M20 from high boost. There is a company that makes billet rocker arms for that application, they are not cheap, but they do there job well. If you have any questions let me know.
