    Default Rear Ended Someone :(

Well today on my way back from BioLife, I rear ended someone at about 5 mph. It did quite a bit of damage to my poor Windsor Golf. Her Dodge Nitro got a few scratches on the bumper, literally thats it. She was very cool about it and said shit happens, and didnt report it to insurance. Hopefully it stays that way.

It is hard to assess any damage while it is dark out, but I was able to drive it home fine. I know I NEED a hood, radiator support straps, both headlights are pointing upwards, and my grille piece is all cracked. Thats the initial assessment. It did not overheat on the way home, so that is a good sign. What really sucks is I am a full time student (8am to 4:30pm) and barely have enough money to get by the way it is. Tomorrow or thursday I am going to try to see if I can maybe pound the hood back into shape and bend the headlight brackets back straight. Hope to make it at least driveable.

sorry to hear sounds like you'll need a core support.

Yes most likely. This just sucks no matter what way I slice it. I am sure it looks worse than it actually is but either way, it sucks!

I am located in Fargo, ND, but I do go to the Elk River area almost every weekend, since my girlfriends parents live there.

    buy tow straps,
square up to a telephone pole
    open hood,
secure core support to telephone pole,
pull that fucker out where it belongs,
    adjust hood latch,
and start saving money for new hood and core support

    Yup, its all metal thankfully.

If you frame horns are ok, and it went "under" the neons bumer, it just pushed all the "Top" stuff back, including the core support, the sheet metal sides that are welded to the horns an dhoel teh fenders, etc etc. But, yeah, if it isnt leaking, disconnect the 2 bolts for the radiator/ac condensor, and strap it to something big, and pull it back. Dont go gun-ho, as its just sheet metal, but it will go back with some smooth persuasion. Wont look great, but will work again if you are in a bind.

If it really wasnt bad, all that may be ok. Check hood bolts- it may have just pushed stuff around. But, its just metal. Bend that shit back;-)

    good luck

I tried doing this way back when, and I almost passed out.

How much does one make donating plasma? Obviously it can just be a kind act but this thread got me curious and the website doesn't give an idea.

I know, it's going to be tough finding a windsor hood.

I make about 55 bucks a week for 2 one hour (or less) visits. It's nice to have that for gas money. It's worth it for me. Plus most the nurse technicians are pretty cute so that's a plus

its different all the time as well. i think when i did it up in st. cloud it was like 20 or 25 for your first visit and then usually 30 to 40 for your next visit. it does suck ass though after the fact. i usually had to plan for a big meal and a power nap after
