    Default Eurowerks Member Spotlight: Audiphile

What kind of car(s) do you have? Modifications, future plans?

    My daily is a 1990 Audi 90 quattro 20v.

It has a few mods: Custom exhaust with a magnaflow resonator and Bosal muffler. G60 front calipers, 034 injector upgrade, b4 hood and depo headlights. Really fun, well balanced car and the engine makes great noises.

    I also have a couple e30s:

    1986 325es

    1990 325i

Both are ongoing projects, and I have big plans for them. Stay tuned for a project thread in the future.

I also have a few older Audis that are projects in various stages of not being done.

    1982 Audi 4000 4E

    1982 Audi Coupe

    1990 Audi 90 with a 3.6 v8

    1986 Audi Coupe GT

I also have a 1996 F150 for hauling all my other broke-ass shit around!

Any previous cars you'd like to mention?

I had my 87 4000cs quattro for almost 3 years, and im still sad i got rid of it.

I also miss my 03 RSX type s, such a fun ride, and still got over 30 mpg beating on it.

If you could have just one car, what would it be and why?

Probably a e39 M5 or a ur Quattro with a ABZ v8 swapped in. Either of those would satisfy my power/handling demands while still being quiet, comfortable, and practical daily drivers.

    What's your real name?

    Matt Nielsen

This is my mom and I, notice our creative use of the diving board bumpers.

What does your screen name mean, and why did you choose it?

I originally was shakquatt325 because I lived in shakopee, and had a Quattro and a bimmer 325, and also because I couldn't think of anything creative and good. I changed it to Audiphile after watching a interview where he mentioned he was a bit of an "audiophile". I thought it fit a bit better.

What kind of job do you have?

I work at Imola Motorsport in Golden Valley as a tech. I also work mornings at Fedex throwing boxes to help pay the bills.

Tell us an interesting/funny story about yourself.
I was born and raised in Chicago, and to this day I still visit the same ice cream shop every time I go back home to visit. (Primos in Oak Lawn)

What other hobbies do you have?

Shooting (clays and targets), drawing, reading, yelling at liberals, going for walks, working out.

How did you first hear about Eurowerks?

I think i came across in on google or something super lame like that

If you could make a change to Eurowerks, what would it be and why?

    Nothing really.

I remember when that V8 90 was for sale, I wanted it! That is a cool fleet you have.

Although, I must say I'm quite perturbed that you would even think of pulling the 20V Turbo out of a Ur Quattro. Blasphemy! That is one of the best motors of all time!

    The Ur doesn't have a 20vt, it has a CIS 10vt.

Did we never get the 20vt? I could have sworn the last three years of production or so got the 20vt, maybe I am mistaken.

EDIT: Yep. Looks like it was for the euro market only. Bummer. Either way, I could never take the 5 cylinder turbo out of a Ur Quattro.

The street, a small 2 car garage, and my moms house. She likes having me over so I can do chores for her.

Funny, I still remember going there as a kid, and passing it every time I go to Chicago.

We really need to setup a trap shooting day. I would love to break out the 3200 and re-live some memories.

I'm down to shoot trap any day. I'll supply the shells.
