97 b4 vr @135xxx miles

I have a 97 b4 vr6 MT, black leather, heated seats.

Clutch, t chain, rear brakes and bearings are newer. Bilstein/HR 40/40 kit, tt exhaust and chip. Runs and drives solid; it is a little rough around the edges but everything works except the AC. Has a moonroof!

Bump for a new battery. This thing is ready to role!


Update; It has just over 133,000 miles.

Chains and clutch were replaced at 121,000.

I did the rear brakes and bearings shortly after.

I purchased this car in 12/01/07 with 96/98,000 miles.

Between 98k-121k the fuel filter, exhaust, suspension, RF axle, and both front wheel bearings have been replaced. It was also in the shop somwhere during this time and the "crack pipe" was replaced as well.

Once again, this is not an overly-modded polished turd that I am trying to get every penny out of; it is rough around the edges, but, this has been taken car mechanicaly and the interior is pretty solid and clean.

Every fact hat lists major work has supporting documentation.


I believe the $1850 is fair; offers accepted with open arms.


*Chains and clutch rang in at close to $1500.

I keep pulling back on this car; it is doing no good sitting in my garage. I start it and drive it, normally when I find out that the battery has been drained; so then I charge it, and it always starts right up!

I bought the car in 06-07 with 96,xxx miles, I had the battery replaced upon the purchase. So, it could be ready for a new one; as far as a draw... No, it has the keyless entry and all it does is sit; so, through out it's time of sitting it loses power. Additionally it could be ready for a battery, I had it started this last Saturday after sitting, all I had to do is jump it, but if the battery is in fact in need of replacing i will include.


Tires are around 3-4/32nds tread.


Only other issue that I know of and have not fixed is the radiator, minor seam leak; I can throw in a bottle of G12 with it, which would last you for quite some time 3-5 years maybe.


It's a fine Passat for its shape and year; it was built in Germany! It is not Mexinadian! The vr6 stands tall!
