    Default 1985 Mercedes 190e 16v Cosworth

Posting for a friend, if you've been to CnC the last year or so, you've probably seen it, The original owner was a Mercedes collector in California, when he died Orr bought it, and then david purchased it last year. It's an European import from 1985, before they were watered down and officially sold in the US market in 87.

It's well documented, and very clean.

He's selling it because he's moving to the west coast, and it's not viable for him to take it there at this time.

He's listed it at $9.9k OBO, "cash talks". PM Me or contact through craigslist.

Oh, that's so great. What kind of MPG do you get out of one of these? I have always been curious...

Yeah, I think this has been for sale for quite awhile here locally, unless there is another one. I've always wanted to take a right in one and see how it compares to mine

He's definitely around Maple Grove a lot. It's a pretty good drive, I had a quick run in it around Brooklyn Park one day, definitely drives "lighter" than my E46.

I believe Orr might have gotten it off BAT. The original owner had some AMG wheels on it, so if you see pictures like that it's the same vehicle. David has only had it listed for a few weeks IIRC. Financially it's hard to keep with a young kid running around the house, and moving across the country.

This is a great price, compared to others for sale right now.

There is one on ebay for 15k with a bad slave cyl, and crappy paint.

That's a great price. I'm really surprised it's been around so long. I took a long hard look at C&C last weekend, it's pretty dang clean.

I got around 20 usually with my old one (which had cams and exhaust), which would be close to a euro spec. But the problem is, these are a tad under powered (shoudl say under torqued), and you end up wringing the heck out of it to make power.

That being said, they are fun, and drive great once they are in the power band, but are a tad heavy. But a very nice car, and appreciating at the moment (or i should say nice ones, like this one seems to be) Lots of ratty ones....

    Not too shabby.

Looks like the dyno is 150whp/130tq. Could be fun!

Should be 160 or so for the USA version. Think the euro was closer to 190 or so. Check this vid out
