Not sure that'll fit two car seats.

What it lacks in space, it makes up for in awesomeness.

Okay, I looked at a lot of different stuff and was really after a Subaru Forester XT. But they were few and far between for nice ones, and were out of our price range. Nice cars though. We ended up with this:

06' Legacy 2.5i Limited AWD. Power everything, leather, heated seats, compass, auto dimming mirror etc. I really like it. It's far from perfect, but I think it will be perfect for our needs.

Nice. How'd you pull that off for $10k?

It has 96k on it, has some scratches/imperfections. Clean carfax and 1-owner though. Also all fluid changes done in the last 100 miles, new tires etc. Mechanically solid. I can't wait to get it in the snow. It drives really nice, I really like this generation Legacy.

That is so funny. I told Crystal when I started looking for these "It's just a really handsome design." and she was like "Cars are female, they can't be handsome." You just totally backed me up. Rock on Andy.

I picked the car up with about half a tank and reset the trip right away. We have about 1/8 tank left and we have gone like 175 miles. This is going to be AWESOME not filling up an 18 gallon tank every 260 miles.. I'm excited to fill her up and see how much range we will have. And the interior needs to be cleaned..bad. They "detailed" it at the dealer but it needs a lot of work on all of the commonly touched surfaces. I'm also noticing the A pillar fabric is pretty dingy, wondering if the car was smoked in.

oh, btw you'll probably see between 300 and 350 miles between fill ups, that's a 16 gallon-ish tank. Some people from the forum have gotten over 450 on a tank.

let me know if you have any questions about the car, I can point you in the right direction if I don't outright know it.

Also, if you want to optimize the throttle a bit, Nuke of NF performance does open ECU tunes, and may be able to put a bit more 'pep' in the go pedal, i.e. get rid of some of the DBW lag. I'm not 100% sure that he does NA.

Keep an eye on the oil consumption. Check it every other fill up till you decide you know the pattern... Some of these like to eat oil. Rotella T seems to be the best performing for some reason (minimal consumption). It won't complain about getting premium gas either.

    Nice car.
