    2004 Jetta GLS Wagon

    Default Not new, but returning

So, my husband just bought a 2004 Jetta GLS Wagon. <3
He'll be joining the forums here soon.

I just have one question. HOW DO I GET A EUROWERKS STICKER!?

We have big plans for the VW. ;]

    Any Qs? Ask.

Yes, glad to have you back and I'm looking forward to having Abe join us!

I hope your plans for the VW have timing belt as #1. It looked pretty cracked and old. I txt'ed Abe some links to a DIY walkthrough from VWVortex, and a retailer on an inexpensive belt/tensioner kit. (for those that don't know, it's the 2.0) Lots of people swap out the water pump while they're in there, if your funds allow it I'd recommend doing it.

Also, if anyone has a used VW Monterey wheel with tire, they'll need a spare. The one in the trunk had no tire and a giant dent.

Nobody sits like this rock sits. You rock, rock. The rock just sits and is. You show us how to just sit here and that's what we need.

Yes! Definitely is. I looked at the link as well. We'll be ordering it when we get back from Vegas this weekend I'm sure. I think we can do the water pump too. :]
    Thanks for the wheel pic.

1: That's a Monterey (even says so in the picture hyperlink)
2: They had a Monterey in the trunk for a spare and not a steelie with a warning label?
3: I do have a full set I was going to use as winter wheels, 3 are bald Firestone FR380s, one has a very good Yokohoma something something (Avid? 60k tire). I'd consider selling the whole set pretty cheaply.

    derp, you're right, whoops.

it was a full size spare that is now being used on the car, covered by a hubcap. i.e. the P.O. messed up one wheel/tire, put the spare on and called it good.

I was going to hit up U-pull this weekend, they have a MK4 in. If I can find a single from there I'll snatch it up. No use them buying a complete other set when they only need one.
