    Default project mktree revival

So I finally for a car to replace my smashed up 99 beetle. A 95 Jetta III. It is a little rough right now, one automatic ignition module to get it out of park and a manual module to start it, bashed in trunk lid. I think ya get the picture. I'm not worried about the ignition module because I already have a 5 speed lined up to swap in. It has a black dash with the beaver interior, I plan on swapping that out for an all black cloth interior. This car is going to be my daily driver but I plan on putting in my tt 272* cam, putting some coilovers on it and cleaning it up really nice. For paint I am looking at getting the blackest black you have ever seen. Pictures will be uploaded later today or overnight as my internet sucks at 1mbps max upload.

    sorry, http://s867.photobucket.com/albums/ab240/huck731/jetta/

debadge the trunk, hwo abotu replace it because of the huge dent. not sure if I want to debadge anyway, it seems like everyone does it.
What perplexes me is the lack of a glove box, I've never seen that before.

dammit, the start is going out really fast in this thing. oh well, for $350 I cant complain to much. I cant decide if I want to get a full TT catback with magnaflow exhaust or go straightpipe to a magnaflow. I like having a peice of crap that fixing means tuning to my likeing.

would you guys reccomend C2 or megasquirt if I plan on putting my 8v 272 degree cam in along with a cold air intake and the exhaust?

I wonder what the percentage of mk3 jetta's where made with no glove box. I cant decide if I want to get rid of the air bag and do a dual glove box or keep the anit-glovebox thing going because of how novel it is.

ok, so I was doing some research today and decided to go full on euro spec ext. lighting. I'm talking hello e-codes with working rheostat kit, euro switch (of course) crystal clear/red 60/40 euro tails. not sure if there is a euro spec fog lights kit but I'll probably just go clear fogs.

I also trying to decide if I want to get a new momo wheel just for this car (my orange drifting series will be going in the desiel caddy) or get all the stuff for quick release in both and just have one wheel.

so I made it to and from eurowerks problem free in the jetta. dispite getting pulled over while not even having been on the interstate for a minute on my way up for a cracked windshield and no front plate (cop must be blind, there is a euro plate there, lol). I got home around 3 in teh afternoon and had to go to work at 6. while backing out of the driveway the exhaust finished coming loose and is now coming straight out of the cat. damn is that shit loud.

the early (93~94) mkIII's had upper glove boxes; the middle ones have an air bag there w/ only a knee bar below, later on (97 or so) the lower knee bar was replaced w/ a glove box. I have put lower glove boxes in like three different cars now; it requires some trimming and a sheet metal screw. I have a rare lower shelf that goes in where the knee bar is, if you want to buy it.

I don't know if I would put a 272 in w/o changing the valve springs.

For chips, it really doesn't make much difference as to which one you go with. There will be very little differences, even on the dyno you MIGHT see one more HP here or there.

you certainly don’t need megasquirt to run a cam and exhaust. i would suggest a techtonic chip, but as jungle stated it probably doesn’t really matter in that car.
