Default Sold The 20th For An R32

I've been on the hunt for an R for a few months now, as I was getting bored with my 20th and didn't feel like going BT. I also wanted something more comfortable for the daily commute and driving in Boston. Long story short a coworker had a lead for my 20th, the guy came and offered more than I was expecting to sell it for on the spot. I pulled a few parts off for friends but sold it pretty much as is.

So within the last few weeks I drove several R32s, but none fit the bill; paint damage, poor interior, high mileage, etc. Last week I found a private seller in Connecticut selling a mint bone stock R fairly priced.

    - One adult owner
    - Candy White
    - 52k with full dealer service records, including the major 40k with all recalls/bulletins up to date.
    - New Conti extreme contacts and a second set of B5 S4 snows with new studded tires.

I checked it out last week and put a deposit down. I got a one way rental and left Boston at 5:30AM the other morning. The deal went really smooth, no surprises, the seller was a car guy which made it easy.

I ended up hard wiring my Passport and did the flapper mod in the Wal Mart parking lot before heading home lol. It was absolute bliss hauling down the Mass Pike, the 3.2 just begged to be revved!

I'm going to keep it at stock ride height for a while, but I want to do a few suspension mods. Besides that I'm going to focus on the engine right now. I'm looking into the UM ECU/DSG tune and possibly the Blue Water E85 setup with cams.

I already pulled the clear bra off and started clay bar/waxing today.

Small dent in the c pillar being taken care of at work this week

Are those the Aristos from your 20th on your old jetta? Looks great against the black, and one of my top wheel choices for whenever that upgrade finally comes around for me.

Love the new car, especially in white - you don't see too many in that color. And what a find with the mileage and condition! Have fun owning it!
