    Default 2006 lr3 se v8

It's official. We want something else.

We're making the rounds to a few dealers tonight to look at trading it in. Would prefer a private sale, but trading might just be easier too. If you have interest, let me know ASAP. I'm assuming this will be an attractive trade due to it's condition and maint. history.

We've got a 2006 Land Rover LR3 SE V8. ~73k miles, and is the wife's daily. All options except navigation, white exterior, black leather interior. New tires and tie rods last fall. Haven't had any issues since we puchased it from Minneapolis Land Rover as a CPO vehicle. There are a few thousnd miles left on the CPO warranty but I doubt that it transfers.

All maint. is up to date, and it is in wonderful condition. I'd give the exterior a 9.5/10 one small nick in the back bumper plastic. (Maybe I have have Joey give his opinion, as he recently detailed it for me inside and out). Interior is a 9/10. Everything is in perfect shape save for the center console where it faces the rear passengers. The wife hauled something and it hit the console, making a small tear in the vinyl and breaking one of the vent trim rings. It's minor, but throwing it out there.

    Looking for $18,500 firm

If I needed an SUV this would be one I would feel very comfortable buying. Good seller, good owner.

Yes. Despite what my wife says, they have always worked. Even the night the nick was put in the bumper.

In the interest of full disclosure, the drivers side tail light was broken and replaced with a new OEM tail light housing during her incident at the mall of america. Ironically she backed into a Yukon.

Oh man. I way like those. If my wife didn't have an MPG requirement for the next vehicle this would be way appealing.

Good luck with the sell. You know how much I like that.

    What year Yukon?

Very nice! Just curious what your thoughts are on one of these V.S. a Range Rover or VW Touareg? I want front and rear air suspension and something that can go on and off road and I've come to like these a lot.

Never driven or been in a Touareg. Basically, the LR3 is like having a range rover without people thinking you're a pompous ass, and not being mad when your kids make a mess in the back seat.

The LR3 is pretty much the same as the RR Sport. The interior is a little more utilitarian, but the comfort is there.

Skip the V6. Test drove one and it was slow, got marginally better MPG, and towing with it would have been hopeless.

Having driven a Touareg V10TDI and a loaded up LR3 (with the V6, not the V8), I WAY preferred the LR3. It's probably the only SUV I'd consider. The build quality felt really solid. And it just looks so good.

I see no point to getting a RR, especially as the LR3 has proven to be a very reliable vehicle (per consumer reports, etc).

I currently have a 97 Range Rover Vitesse (1 of 125) which is great, but I am wanting something a bit more comfortable for the highway. It gets used as a family vehicle and for hauling stuff and it's been awesome for that. Problem is though that it was made in the era when Land Rover made their own electronics, so I have no access to scan tools that can read the A/C system and air suspension system. I've been looking heavily into Touaregs, newer RR's, and LR3's and I'm starting to get hooked on the LR3's.

Yea, from what I've seen the LR3's have been reliable for sure. I love the RR's, but the space of the LR3 is great.

We only considered Land Rover because it popped up as a competitor of the Yukon, which we were shopping for. Hands down, I have never owned a more reliable vehicle. Purchased at 13k miles, we're at 73k without a dime out of my pocket outside of a set of brake pads, tires, and oil changes after 50k (they are included at 7,500mi intervals up to 50k).
