    Default 8v Obd1 chip

Alright so I have a mk2 jetta with an 8v. It has a 268 cam, cold air, exhaust, shaved head, and a couple more little things. I am wondering if there is anyone who makes a performance chip for my car. I looked and can't find any. Anyone know of anything or chipped their 8v? Thanks

Or if you really want to get the most out of your set up Full Blown and do a custom dyno tune for OBD1. Tuning is $140/hr (again only for OBD1 cars).

Are the intake and exhaust on the same side(back) of the head? If so it's Digifant 2.

Its a little more complicated because your ECU doesn't have a socket that you can just plug a chip into and no EPROM that can simply be flashed.

Back about 15 years the only company making a "chip" for the Digifant 2 was AMS (Advanced Motorsport Solution). It involved a secondary PCB and ECU. You had to send them your whole ECU and they would install it for you and program it based on specs you gave them for engine mods and such.

I think they went out of business or changed their name and started doing EVO stuff. Not sure if anyone else is doing it now...

I had one. It was expensive at about $500 (15 years ago) but it was a nice bump in power (about 15hp) and greatly increased driveability.

That is not true about being able to put a chip in a digi2 ecu. I've done it and they do have sockets for the chip. Problem is that its old technology and hardly anyone makes chips for them anymore.

There was a guy named vw_pilot that made a chip called digifast2. He randomly puts some on ebay.

I have a digifast2 chip and ecu I'd sell if you wanted. Send me PM if interested.

Which one is better? Vw pilot or the techtonics one? Or the one you have?
