things have been going alright. figured out the fuel issue MAY have been the line/fitting on the tank. I got frustrated and decided to put an inline electric pump in to see if it made things better. when I did. it STILL would not pump. definitely didnt make sense.... so I wiggled and fucked with the fitting on the tank and low and behold it started pumping. This would explain the intermittent behavior. I drove it around w/ the pump for an evening. Runs alright, still no wide open throttle at all. not sure why. Maybe weak spark, maybe something with timing....although it should be really dead on, as it was checked twice. Now that I realized the problem with the fuel not reaching the carbs was the tank, I've taken out the electric pump and put the bulb back in. Safety first? Anyways. Also replaced some wires today. One is the distributor ground, and the other 2 were points wiring. Yikes. I really think if I can get WOT to work, I should be able to roll 50mph thats my goal....

very. I replaced what I could get to. some goes into rubber harness boots that are solid. The entire harness needs replacing.

Are you only supposed to use marine grade wire for salt water?

whatever grade was used was garbage grade, or 30 year old wires grade.

I've been on a similiar hulled boat on Minnetonka before. Any chop becomes violently uncomfortable. Its a great boat for a small/narrow lake or river runner. Eyeing something else? I/O or In-board drive? GLWS
