i'm just glad that the fusion is now the mondeo that the rest of the world has been enjoying since 2007. its a facelifted version of the european platform...some of you may regonize it from casino royale. IMO they should have given us this car 5 years ago...but i'm glad they finally got around to it

I asked a Ford designer and yep... Aston Martin is what they were going for.

I think the new Fusion looks terrific, but it does bother me that it's such a blatant copy of the front end. Not that I'll ever be able to afford one, but it kind of takes some of the shock and awe (if you want to call it that) from the Aston.

That engine is awesome.

It was in our S60 rental in Germany. 4 people, luggage, LOTS of hauling ass on the autobahn (think 180-200kph for long stretches), and still managed to get 30mpg over the trip.

Not exactly a slouch in terms of power either.
