I don't know about you guys but I kinda with I had $70K for an SUV right about now.

What are the odds that we'll see it here, I wonder? 5%?

Why does it seem to me that diesels keep getting worse and worse fuel economy?

Heavier vehicles, and more emissions equipment kills the mileage.

That and trying to push the boundaries of Power to bring in my buyers. 32mpg with 480ftlbs is pretty amazing considering the same size class gas 2.0l Mazda CX5 gets the same mileage and only produces 160hp 170/ftlbs.

More weight+more power=worse economy. Still looks awesome though

I would definitely rock that. I've been waiting for an AWD diesel to come to the US.

So, for $15,000 less I can have a Touareg TDI Executive (4-motion) with every option? $15,000 for the Audi S-badge?

    Not prettier enough for me.

It would basically competition for the Cayenne Diesel (AWD) (which is slower) and BMW isn't bringing the X5 or X6 M50d over, so I cannot see it coming to the U.S.

An ML350 BlueTEC (4-Matic) is only $74,000 if you tell them to add everything including 50,000 miles of "prepaid maintenance."
The GL350 BlueTEC (4-Matic) starts at $62,500, option packages are cost intensive, but you could easily keep it under the Audi similarly equipped.
The x5 xDrive35d can easily break $74,000, but you'd probably have to be a fanatic about BMW technology to do it (Automatic Headlight assistance to help you decide between high and low beams, really?) and you'd have to pay $7000 for the wheel upgrade.
Even the Q7TDI takes effort to surpass that.

I like the Audi S vehicles, a lot, but an SQ? Pass.

Now, the Allroad with the TDI... I'd pay heaps in a premium for that.

It definitely looks like a neat little SUV. I'm sure its a total blast to drive with all of that torque!

Regardless, If I was in the market for an SUV, I would be looking at something a bit bigger.... like a Touareg TDI.
