I went 60 to 65 most of the way home... 60 seemed to be a comfortable cruising speed. I went 70 once in a while, but it seemed to be pushing the engine. Without having it in for service and looked through thoroughly, I didn't want to push my luck. So I stayed close to 60. Not sure on the top speed... Maybe 75 or 80?
so....you sold the saab, and want to sell the 6 for a newer car...
and you got a westy???
sorry i gotta give ya shit, but it does baffle me. car a.d.d. much?![]()
Glws.
You buy some weird shit. But this is probably the coolest. Are you S7en's dad?
Some day I'm going to build an airplane/Then I'm going to die in a plane crash
The motorcycle is a work of art, a testament to the corner gods, and as with all religious endevours, requires a bit of ceremony and respect.
You bought a vehicle that does 0-60 in 'maybe.'
Merging correctly requires a person to match the speed of traffic with which they are merging. Your vehicle would make such a feat...more challenging. Hence, you must not like merging.
It was a joke about Vanagons being slower than frozen molasses.
I remeber merging in my old 1.9L Westy Vanagon a few times at about 40 mph and I was ringing the crap out of it to get to 40. Short ramps and short merge lanes are not a friend to Vanagons.
Apparently I'm also slower than frozen molasses on picking up on that one...
I see now. Maybe mine has had some work done to it at some point in its life... I didn't find it to be terribly slow. Like I said, 60 was a comfortable cruising pace. The civic hybrid i owned was way worse than driving this. Hated how sluggish that car was. Ugh. Anywho.. i didn't buy the westy for speed anyways, I bought it for camping at yellowstone, redwood forest, grand canyon, trip to NYC, etc. Plus the 34mpg is tough to beat in this versitle of a vehicle.
She's in the shop getting the fuel filter done, oil change, shifter Bushings and some other stuff. Once thats all done, I'll be ordering bulk from c1p1 replacement body parts for the rust spots, matching front and rear bumpers, lowering springs, and some other various parts and get to work! Plus the interior is ready for some new panels and paint. Ill post pics as I go..![]()
