Yeah, I haven't seem them posting much lately... but i don't check Vortex.

Turns out the second plug from the left in the video was actually not screwed in all the way. So I'm guessing that was causing some of the trouble. Don't have a clue how that happened.

Looks like a nice car and sounds good after it warms up.

Ha...I was about to say, you can see it wobble around in the video. I use a torque wrench on plugs. About 15 ft/lbs for most plugs.

Turns out last time I thought I was getting nonoxy was actually just premium. Nonoxy was one pump over so I filled up last night. Smells different!

Started her up just now to pull into the driveway and work and guess what. She idles at 100rpm again! But then slowly creeps back up to 1800 over a minute or two. I will get a video. It's weird. If it idles fine at 100 and then creeps up, does that mean there's no vacuum leak? Hasn't idled under 1500 in over a year. I think it might be due to the E0 gas.

Did the drivers rear wheel bearing last week to see if it'll stop wobbling. Nope. I picked up an adapter for my torque wrench yesterday so I can use my dad's 24mm socket. Going to redo it today with dedicated wheel bearing grease instead of "super lithium" or whatever that shit was.

I plan on buying new inner bearings and races and maybe even a new stub axle to just rebuild the whole stupid thing. I just want it done.

Took the door handle off and lubed it up. Now it works great.

Also picked up a new cap and rotor yesterday and will throw those in. Hopefully it'll stop the occasional missing. Devan looked at it on Saturday and didn't see any major vacuum leaks (I have no clue what I'm doing). Momo's supposed to be sending me a smoke test DIY link to find any vacuum leaks. I'll look in Bentley today when I've got it out.

Also. Got a fake radio face plate from Ax-Man for 99 cents. Apparently it was part of a store display or something. I'm going to jimmy rig it into the dash so at least there's no gaping hole anymore.

Needs an upper exhaust hanger hook too. The exhaust hangs down a few inches and recently created a new ditch in the gravel road.

    pics yay

I am also going to get a new front hub and wheel bearings. There's one chrome lug because there's a stud stuck in there and the threads are fucked up.

I'd like some spacers to bring the rear offset out to match the fronts, but the focus this summer is on mechanical. If anyone has some 15 or 20mm spacers/adapters I might be interested.

I didn't plan on updating so much. Ick.

    Done:
    New cap and rotor
Rear wheel bearing with appropriate grease
Raised rear suspension about 7mm to get rid of reverse rake

    Broken:
New (two weeks old) Bosch Ultra Premium plug wires. Snapped the end off when trying too hard. Going to order some new ones from SCI tomorrow morning.

40 bucks out the window. Yay.

Fuck this. I'm such an idiot.

You should cut the muffler off.

Thanks Chad at SCI for ordering the new Bosch plug wires! They work great and thankfully I didn't break them... yet

Tested the auxiliary air regulator. Not broken. Also worked on the radio (Heidelberg from a 92 Cab) a bit to see if I can get it to kinda work. I need a new pin and to swap over the antenna plug. Also to ghetto fix one speaker so, fingers crossed, I'll have a working radio and two working speakers.

Saw you cruising in the cabby this evening at the intersection of 96 and Stonebridge. Your car looked great, kinda jealous of people that have convertibles in this weather!

About a minute before I spotted you I saw a shiny red Audi CQ tearing it up, and then I saw a Jazz 20th which was also in warp drive. Sick dubs everywhere in Stillwater.

Lol, hi. On the way back from a hot rod meet

Edit: I'm working on a guy to see if he will notch the frame horns up front. I've won a free lifetime alignment last summer so getting that done should be no problem. It needs to be lower.

Edit for side shot with raised rear end. Looks better, if not low.
