Advice to others for their first track day-

Start off slow, get to know the track.
    Ride along with another driver
Bleed your brakes and have fresh pads
Have your car tech inspected by someone who has raced before (like Imola) they will provide you with a lot of information about your car and what to expect
Bring lots of water to drink
Get to know the event organizers, they are a wealth of knowledge
    Bring a friend

and never forget to take a pre-game dump

This is the only pic I have, sorry.

It had a full cage and race seats, 2.4L engine and I have no idea what was done to it. It could hit 125 on the main straight, the GTI topped out at 105 in the same place. The acceleration wasnt outer worldly, I think yours is faster, Kris. But the violence with which it can brake and corner was astounding. It was running a 275 rear BFGoodrich slick.

You guys were really quick out there. I was talking with the 2 911s you were running with in the afternoon, black and dark blue, they were having a hell of a time (and good fun) trying to get out ion front of you.

    Sticky I would imagine.

Although I didn't mention this earlier - I wouldn't recommend an R compound for somebody on their first trackday, you'll learn a lot more on a standard street tire.

The Hoosiers were amazing. I have never had grip like that before, I was very thankful to have had them. I didnt search out the R-compound, I wanted something better than my Grand Touring Pilot's and these fit the bill.
They will also be great for the next 2-3 track days to come this year. I didnt even scuff them with how few miles I drove. Something I should have done but forgot was to scrape all the dead rubber off them before going out. I thought it was just wear off as I drove but it really didnt. Had I put more, and harder, miles on them Im sure it would have been different. Before next time I will scrape them clean for a more even track.

Your 135 would be a great car for the track. The Slowpokes are having another even on July 5th and both the Porsche and BMW club have them in the fall.
