Default I got "Volkswagened" at Wolfsburg

So I went to wolfsburg again mainly because it was on the way back from Hamburg and figured why not Im here ,Ill do it one for one last time. But while most people say the third times the charm this time was the least exciting.

So where to start oh yeah the glass tower where you can ride up in the car slot was 8 € and it was fully booked all day. They said we shouldve called eariler in the week to get a spot, yet the place was pretty dead and I didnt see where or how this was booked up,it shouldve been part of the tour or admission, also how would anyone know to call ahead just for that but oh well I didnt do that.

Next was the crappy factory tour I have been on it twice before where they drive up through it and you can see a car being built but not today. The mk7 golf was being tooled for production and the tiguan was being built that day,but didnt get to see it being built. They said since the golf has not been shown to the public we couldnt even see the tiguan being built...fail.

They drove us around the grounds which was kinda cool but then we had to get out and walk about half a mile and they showed us some guys setting things up...I did see the new golf platform but oh well whoopie. Then they took us in a room with a golf underpinnings and such and some glass cases of all the wires they use and also one with all the bolts they use. The case said "do not touch alarm will sound" umm why? who would steall bolts inside a glass case? They also had paint codes on the wall and yeah who cares.

Next we walk into another room which was "german air conditioned" aka like a frikin oven...er wait but yeah then we watch some 5 minute movie on how they build the car and that was it. My girlfriend asked what happen to the other tour and the main guy said "well ze golf 7 ist zuper top zecret and no other car company wouldz alowz any one to zee der zecret planzz har har". But I guess the "regular" tour will start up again in oktober but still I dont get why we couldnt see the tiguan build when the tooling for the 7 isnt even up yet...schiße.

All in all it was kinda of a waste of time. Sure I saw and sat in the new up! and the scirocco R and the polo gti but really wooooow zzzzzz. I have a ton of pix but this thing is taking forever,Ill load them next week when Im back.

Actually no, we ran out if time because the factory tour now starts in the front and take a boat down the river and everything closes at 5. And I tried finding the wolf logo dealership and it took a bit in traffic.

The week I went to Wolfsburg was the week they were on Holiday. No tours at all, we just walked the grounds and sat through some seriously boring videos.

If one were to go to wolfsburg is autostadt and the museum easy to do in one day or should you do it in two?
