Default 1.8t Motor or lower end

Hey all, looking for a 1.8t motor with code "APH" or one thay would fit my application in a 2000 beetle. I have a good head and turbo so i would settle for a lower end as well. maybe you know of one that dropped a belt or something. the cheaper the better although i do know what they are worth so i will be very happy to pay a fair price

I have aph from a 2000 nb. Head was sludged. Bottom end still moves freely... Trade ya for type 4 bus motor?

I'm in Nebraska. I have pics. On this site... I posted the block for sale a few months ago. Still sitting in shop.

i have a 1.8t block that would go cheap, has the crank and rods with pistons, although the pistons have some slight damage on them would not recommend using them, rods and crank both good, block looks good. block front says 29E rear of block says O6A 103 021K the block is my brothers, he got it from a friend as a hopeful use for the crank in his TT but nope had different crank. send a text if your interested and i can send you pics and a price. six one two 961 33 four zero.

TT 1.8t's are 06A, why wouldn't the crank work? doesn't make sense. All 1.8t's minus the older 058's (which have two different cranks...auto and manual) are the same.

this block was from a A4 1.8t, the tt quattro 225hp had a different crank, rods and pistons. they wouldn't work with the different bore & stroke.

You're mistaken, the TT225 is a transverse 06A style block. All 1.8T's have the same bore and stroke.

IIRC the A4/Passat are the 058's with external water pump. They all have cast cranks.

06A style have forged cranks. TT225 has a forged crank.

Longitudinal manual(058) applications can use the transverse forged crank with the installation of a pilot bearing. They may also use the longitudinal automatic crank if an adapter is machined to accept the pilot bearing.

You also said: the block is stamped O6A 103 021K.
If this is true, it is not a block from an A4.
Either way even if the block was an 058, the crank would work as long as it is an 06A crank w/pilot bearing.

if I am mistake(which I don't think I am) please feel free to provide me with the correct information.
