    Default Project: In Limbo

So I FINALLY got around to doing something with the squareback. I had the whole weekend to myself so I spent the whole time playing around and pretending to know what I was doing. Kind of slow work, but it is going fairly well so far. End goal will be a running car, chopped, lowered. That is it. My goal is to get it done in time for the show.

Yes, the overall look will remain as-is. No fixing dents or anything that isn't structural.

I totally dig it. I'm curious how your planning to lengthen the roof now that its chopped. Are you going to use a 2nd roof?

I was thinking lean the pillars forward for a nice rake. Either way it's going to be a bit of work.

You can either get custom windows made or cut down the current window to fit

Cutting the roof into 8 pieces, one chunk per pillar. The pillars will be the same angle/position, just 5" shorter. Then I will have a lot of patching to do all over the roof. Should be interesting. I really wanted to keep the same window lines and feel. I've seen some done with very changed angles and I didn't like it at all personally.

I am going to attempt to cut down the current one. Since I am keeping the same angle, I think it should work. I've watched a how-to video, and while it isn't difficult, it takes a lot of patience and practice.
