the cheap tranny price is making me consider an auto to manual conversion.

how many miles are on it? I'm assuming its an 02j?

I think there was about 108-109K miles on it. I still have the original clutch and pressure-plate for it.
I will check the tranny for markings and update the thread.

you can have it all for grand. Most things are around 100-130K. I have just the one tranny.
I got a few shortblocks to choose from and couple heads including AEBs so you can pick and choose.

lol, thats prolly why I don't have a wife.
According to stamp lookup the tranny came out of a 99 beetle 1.8t. Guy had two cars and no title on the newer car, decided to swap engine and tranny from the newer car iirc.

I probably won't have it that long. Though for that price I'd probably keep it and build a motor with the spares I got.
