I got a few parts this week and I'm selling the stuff I don't need. I will trade bottom ends and accessories for electronics, smartphones, laptops, tools, etc.
Mostly 1.8t stuff but there were two ABA
1.8T Manual tranny $150 out of a beetle O2J the code is EGD
ABA Crank mint $100
ABA Head mint $25
ABA longblock, head is good but looks like bottom end is sized up $50
couple 1.8ts, can make any year or model. One 058 auto, all others are manual
make offer. I'm trying to make room. Everything is located in Eden Prairie, you can stop by after 6 on weekdays. Will have to setup time for the weekends.

I'm not sure how to tell them apart. Is there a number on the casting? . I don't know the mileage on either but looks like the head had some work done to it. It's hotanked.

the cheap tranny price is making me consider an auto to manual conversion.

how many miles are on it? I'm assuming its an 02j?

im not sure on casting numbers but if it has oil squiters at the bottom of the cylinders then its obd1 and the head should have bigger ports. shoot me some pics of the heads, if u pull the oil pan on the long block u should beable to see squirters if they are there. or if u know what year they came out off. anything pre 96 is obd1. im not sure if all had squirters or not. my email is tdkstdi@gmail.com also not really worried bout miles im going to rebuild it.
