Default What is a good cup kit for a MK3 golf VR6

I am looking for some input on some cup kits. One of my rear shocks blew a couple days ago, and I am in need of suspension. My current setup was a supersport cup kit and after about 100,000 miles on them one rear shock went. I might get the same setup, but I have been looking into vogtland, eibach and maybe h&r. I do not want to get to spendy somewhere in the $450 range.

A good friend of mine had a Weitec 60/40 cup kit on his MK3. It handled good, wasn't very bouncy, lasted a long time and dropped it to a nice ride height with just a little rake to it. Should be in your price range.

they ride great. and if you were to actually follow the link it tells you how low they are. most likely 1.5-2 in like most coils or cup kits.

I thought the supersport cup kit rides very well, and it drops the car 2 inches in front and 1.5 inches in the back. I would get these again, but all I need is the struts and shocks. Venom motorsports sells the struts and shocks separately but does not ship to the U.S. I might just end up buying them again. I purchased them on ebay.

One more thing VR6GTI the clubsport kit and supersport kit are two different things.

I went out and checked the the gap between the tire and the arch. It is around 1 inch of gap.

what crappy coilover's are you going to suggest? racelands, rokkors or jom's. I have no problems with cup kits, they get me low enough to get rid of the wheel gap of the mk3 platform. Also they have a close to stock ride. I will get coilovers for my jetta and they will be good ones. not the low budget ones.

I do not recall asking about coilover's in the first place. After I put the vogtland cup kit in I will let people know what it is like.

The vogtlands arrived via fedex yesterday, and they should be going in this weekend. I will let you guys know how they ride and add a pic of how low they are.
