Recently finished this. Thanks to JettaGetUpandGo for the idea.

Euro R32 dash panel, switch insert and a wiring kit from Escort.

    New Tuscan Rods. "AWWWW YEAHHHH.JPG"

Took the head out of the plastic wrapping. Looks brand new.

I didn't take as many pics as I wanted but here are some from the Bentley key swap. Ill post some steps if people show some interest.

3 screws are required to get the whole fob apart. 2 of them are small as can be. Penny for size reference.

The 2 boards next to each other. Stock VW one on the bottom. They are pretty much the same.

VW board in the Bentley key. It takes a little trimming to fit in there, and is a little loose. But when the top is on it does not move at all. Took the negative battery terminal (C shaped thing) and soldered that to the contact on the board. The battery hole lines up pretty good. Also took the stock immobilizer chip out and put it in this fob. That was by far the most nerve-racking thing ever. It's glass and VERY easy to break and have a $200 mistake. Finished product is fully functional, besides the LED being in the right spot. I may solder one in for the correct location some day, but who pays attention to it anyways?

Also came across a Climatronic swap from a Jetta with all the parts still in the car. It kind of fell into my lap, so I may be making that purchase real soon.

    Clutch was ordered yesterday

Made a lot of progress last night. Still deciding if I should leave the AC the way it is or drain out the freon to do a climatronic swap...

Chick at bar: "Oh wow you drive a Bentley?"
You: "No, its a 10 year old Volkswagon"
    Chick exits. Alone.

    lol

But seriously good work on the car. It looks good. What kind of power are you hoping for?
