Default Motive Power Bleeder won't pressurize??

So I ordered a Motive Power Bleeder a week ago and was very happy to receive it today as the 02A in my GTI is having issues. Well much to my dismay it won't pressurize. I've deduced that it is leaking from the bleeder tank lid/pump but can't tell exactly where.

Anywho, I understand the concept of the pump but don't get exactly where it should be sealing to the lid or lid to the bleeder tank. I see mention of o-rings in the spares section of Motive's site and can say with 100% certainty that I have no o-rings in my unit. Does anyone know/have one/make an educated guess where I can seal it? I'll call them tomorrow but am anticipating be asked to return it for warranty which I have no intention of doing for an o-ring.

I snapped some pictures of mine to possibly help show what I'm working with.

The one I dealt with was leaking at hose connection. Cranked it down to the main bottle and got a good hose clamp on the nipple connection. Sucks that it is new and not working

Agreed, eecially since it is so simple and so few parts to screw up... I'll check my hose connection tomorrow but that was a serious barbed fitting and it was definitely clamped.

Is there an O-ring on the lid that's supposed to be there?

Negative, I bet that's what I'm missing. Does it sit under the black pump sleeve sandwiched to the tank? And thank you!

    I think one goes here.

I seem to remember it being clear or something, and it sometimes stuck to the top of the bottle.

I wish their phone system worked... I guess I'll send them an email after all.

I just went out and took a look at mine. There should be a big o-ring on the wide end of this piece:

Ah-Ha! Was there a gasket where Palmer circled too or just the o-ring? I did finally get ahold of a customer service rep and he managed to confuse me even more. We'll see what he sends me I suppose. In the meantime, I'll go buy an o-ring when I get home on Friday and see if that fixes it.

Nope nothing where palmer indicated. The big o-ring does the job of sealing off the pump housing tube-thingy.
