    Seriously just wait for the socket I mailed you today to tighten the slotted nut. Then you can finish installing the top strut hat and nut.

    Dang! The freaking bolt is stripped on the top so i cant get anything on it!!!!! Tried to get a die kit, but it doesnt work !

    Hey- now that you post that-- take a look at that top slotted but/bushing. It might be cracked which might be causing your problem. I forgot until now that it wasn't perfect last time I had to R&R those struts. I was in a pinch and made it work, maybe it got worse. Those stupid little things are like $1.00, but it was a sunday and I was in a pinch.

    I'll see if I have one sitting around, I seem to remember ordering a box of them after that, maybe.

    If I have a couple laying around I'll let you know.

    That thing you keep calling a bolt is part of the strut - it doesn't come out. You remove the slotted nut with the tool I sent you.

    Ok...new idea. swap the original strut mounts onto the new to you strut.
