Those are widened mk1 wheels iiirc. Those caps might fit but theres not 4 holes to put the clips in. And sets of those with tires generally go for like 750
so since i have a job now and get 7.25 and on weekends 9.25, i figure ill probs have some coils in a little over a month or so, so now... Racelands or Rokkors? i realize they look like there the same thing minus different spring rates and stuff, rokkor has 1 year longer warranty, what would ride better with a 2.0?
thanks

yeah but judging strictly from what hes posted before, i dont see a good coil setup in the near future
to be completely honest theyre both shitty, and really only good for going low. if thats what your after then cool.
my honest opinion is to chill for a few months, save up some cash and then think about mods, considering i believe you said your parents still pay for your gas and j.i.c. something breaks
^ agree
ok exactly, having a 2.0 cant really go fast, im not racing or anything, just going for the low look.
You frequent Urban Dictionary but don't know what iirc is? *facepalm*
What ever cheap coils you get- rokkor, raceland, vmaxx, etc etc. they're all going to suck. I have $260 "Tuning Art" coils on my Rabbit and they're hard and bouncy. It's not the end of the world. I still love driving it and there's almost no body roll. But they will go low- I had a self-notching frame for a couple weeks without realizing.
Add to that new strut bearings (mounts) if yours are shot. $20-$50 for those and add an alignment for about $100 and you're spending $150 more than you thought. Anyway, make sure you have the money for strut bearings and an alignment before you buy coils.

ok will do, i heard that you should let your coils "set in" for a week then get an alignment, and strut bearings ill look into those, thanks Sven7, sorry for screwing up your name too, my bad.
also assuming i may need a skid plate once i get coils? something like this all custom and stuff? i have an old stop sign in my garage![]()

ok since i dont have the tools to put coils and all in, would anyone be willing to help me when i get the coils and all?
ok one last thing, wont be able to do much with my car until my paycheck comes, which is about 3 weeks. Menards is great too!
Yes, let them settle. No probs on my name. Unless you slam it you shouldn't need a skid plate. I don't have one. If you end up with less than 3-4" (I have 4) I would consider a skid plate. If you leave it low in the winter it would be a good idea, as my oil pan came out a bit nicked up.
Also if you don't have an oil pressure gauge, get one. If you hear a scrape and see the pressure drop drastically hit the clutch and turn the engine off immediately.
I don't have much useful experience with suspension- you'll want someone who's done Mk2 or Mk3 stuff.

Good luck on the project.
I have a clean set of GLX tails for cheap. PM me if you're interested.
