I love my IR 231c.

That is also what I have, I pinker it up off of craigslist for $80 and it looked like it was still new. I bought it when I was trying to gt some stubborn bolts off and I liked that it had 600ft/lbs of reverse max torque.

I picked up a Klutch impact gun at Northern. It's their "nicer" house brand, and I'll have to say I've been very impressed. I walked in with every intention to spend a few hundred on a decent Ingersol Rand gun, and a friend of mine who manages merchandising there recommended the Klutch. I think I only paid about $80 for it, and it's right up there with the big guys, plus it's compact for suspension work. Just remember that any impact is only as good as it's air supply.

You can't go wrong when it's on sale for $69. I would say go pick that up if you can! It has good torque, and it also seems to have good ratings. I might even pick it up just to have a backup/second impact gun.

fyi, you'd need adapters to run those. they'd either be 4x114.3 or 4x108, but probably 4x108.

4x108 iirc on those SAAB wheels. Just try to find a set of e30 BMW wheels with tires already mounted. Then you wont have to mess with adapters, offsets, ect.

As far as air tools goes, just get a small compressor and a decent impact. I have a small 5 gallon compressor, got it new for $100 at Home depot, and it works fine for taking off wheels/removing stubborn bolts. I have a campbell housefield impact and it sucks, get a good one.

As far as everyone hating on this kid, just remember everyone starts out at zero. How about if you wouldnt say it to his face, you dont type it on here. Greatthanxbye

Those wheels are cool enough to warrant adapters imo. A set of four comes in under $100.

You'd need shims as I believe VW's are 57.1 centerbore

na then ill pass, rather just stick to 4x100 or if you still have those porchse cookie cutters i would buy adapters for those

ok, got one strut almost in, cant seem to get the top bolt back on though tips???
