March 30, 2006 - We are still totally pissed at the fact that Speed Channel cancelled its WRC coverage. For some odd reason, the channel that claims that it is all about motorsports cancels its U.S. coverage of the world\'s second-most popular motorsport (after F1). Thankfully, it looks as if a sports channel will pick up some of the slack.

No, WRC isn\'t coming back to U.S. TV screens, but rally competitions will be coming to ESPN -- and this time, it will be EXTREME!!!! Rally racing will now be an official part of the 2006 X-Games, meaning that Subarus and EVOs will now be flying in the air next to motorcross bikes and skateboards.

Well okay, the X-Games rally won\'t take place next to a skateboard ramp. Most of the stages will be held in \"scenic locations\" on Friday, August 4th. These scenic stages still have yet to be announced, so we don\'t know where we should start camping... We do know that one arena-style rally cross event will be held on Saturday, August 5th, and man are we psyched for that.

We don\'t know why rally is now a part of the X-Games, but we really don\'t care. Rally is going to be back on TV! Maybe it will actually get popular this time!

We also don\'t know which drivers and teams will be participating in this event. However, more details will be released later this spring, so we\'ll be sure to share all the updated info with you guys as soon as it is released.
