    Default BF! survives corp downsize.

Now I am looking for suggestions for new things that car people need.In the past we have been mainly a VW/jap car shop, but now I looking to have a more complete euro parts catalog.

The BF! is going to be doing only select one off projects for people. These projects will be chosen by weather they have potential for possible resale or my general interest in the project. If it sounds like fun I'll probably do it
An example of this is a MK2 16v turbo that I'm building in the shop right now.Do keep in mind I like turbos

If anybody can think of any parts or peices that you wish someone made for your car(or used to make that you cannot get anymore),let me know.

what about a turbo setup in a 02 gti 337 from a porsche, i want that turbo the valves change to keep you in boost from idle, that would be sick, how much would something like that run?

I havent seen this turbo yet,but I know I can put one on your car.The reality of this type of system is that it never really turns out to be reliable. It always turns out to be a compromise at best(kinda like a twin charger). In the end you have a turbo that does most things ok and nothing really well.

Yeah, definitely get on top of that 2.5 turbo kit.

Anything for the Mk5 platform is going to be hot, chuck. There's not really a whole lot in terms of parts yet.

The problem is going to be what to tune it with. Are the 2.5s direct injection?

aluminum strut bars for the mk1's. ball joint extensions/heim joints for control arm correction when the car is slammed.

2.5's are manifold injection. The issue for a while was breaking into ME7.5 because it's now Can-Bus.

So all this means is we need to leave the ecu hooked up.

The knock sensing of the motronic is pretty bad ass and could easily handle boost even on a NA car. This would be as simple as a couple of magnets on the crank pully and some resistors on the injector plugs.

As much as I would like you to use my car as a guinea pig for a turbo, I can't. I might be having problems with it now running lean and I need my car for school. Plus its a tip But anything else Chuck.. let me know about it, I mean I am rocking a one of kind BF! exhaust and you did my suspension.

It would be tough to get the car set up with an auto.It would almost have to be a stick. The shift points are calculated off the load table and we would need to unplug the MAF and run the car in limp.

What we would have to do is see what kind of timing the car runs at in limp mode(MAF unplugged).Does the car let you open the throttle all the way like this?Motronics will usually pull enough timing in limp to work well with turbo.Let the knock sensor take care of any more timing pull after that.

We would have to put the resistors in to simulate injectors to the ECU so it thinks all thats wrong is a bad MAF.

After that we would need to put 5 crank position magnets on the crank pully and tap coolant/intake air temp sensors and put in large injectors with standalone.

Now it also looks like the 2.5 has internals that could be swapped out for 2l turbo parts.
