This week we get to know a guy who has built a Festiva with parts you wouldn't know fit...that's clever. Say hello to Sebastian!

What kind of car(s) do you have? Modifications, future plans?

At the moment I have several cars, 8 actually but ill only mention the two project cars.

1992 Ford Festiva with a mazda miata 1.8L block mated to an escort gt transmission sporting Mazda 323 GTR intake and a T04E turbo with Megasquirt. Not quite finished yet but it should be on the road sometime this winter. This has been my project car since early 2004 when i bought it. It was with me when i was young and stupid with cars, when i thought a turbo timer was some sort of electronic boost control. I had neon lights inside of it and it seen more cutting, welding and grinding than all my other cars combined. It taught me most of what i know about cars. It has parts from more brands on it than i can even remember. Golf coilovers, ACVW round headlights (no pics of that yet), Mazda drivetrain, mercury axles, honda shifter, ford aspire brakes, im sure theres more... This car will be with me until either it takes me out in a blaze of flaming explosive speed driven glory or until it crumbles to rust underneath me. Its not pretty, but damn its fun. It will in the future see a built block, opened up wheel arches so i can put some slicks on it and drop it down a bit more. Shooting for the fastest festiva next year, which will require a mid 11s quarter mile

After that i have my family friendly cruiser. Slow and low is how the 68 square rolls. so far just a stock refreshed 1600cc with 34 weber ICT carbs up top. rear end was converted from swing axle to a IRS by adding the IRS control arm/brackets to the swing axle subframe. After that a mild 3" drop and some narrower tires she cruises town nicely. Still needs alot of bodywork and rust repair underneath as well as the interior completely redone for the most part. I love this car and its character, i cant imagine ill ever get rid of it.

someones pic of it from eurowerks:

Any previous cars you'd like to mention?
I had a flat black 86 325es that was at EW2/3 with a stormtrooper stencil'd on the hood I think after i sold it Hamradio ended up with the hood somehow.

If you could have just one car, what would it be and why?
Dont think i could ever have just one... but perhaps a Morgan GT3? I love cars with big swooping fenders.

    What's your real name?
    Sebastian Xavier Schrodt

What does your screen name mean, and why did you choose it?
In highschool i used to do alot of writing and research into Aristotle and other old school philosophy and at one point i just kinda used it as a pen-name for some writing.

What kind of job do you have?

Ive been a welder/fabricator up until the last year or so, now im in college full-time for Mechatronics (a mix of electrical/mechanical/hyraulics/programming/stuff) and work part-time as a commercial parts specialist for Advance Auto Parts here in New Ulm.

Tell us an interesting/funny story about yourself.
I was once arrested on christmas eve while changing the sign on a jiffy lube to say something not very nice. The funny part is i wasnt arrested for trespassing or anything like that, when the cop that caught us (just a note, never have your friend you nicknamed "crazy eyes" dick be the lookout, its just a bad idea) ran our licenses it turns out i had a no proof of insurance that id gotten driving across the state. I mailed the card in, but to the wrong county apparently and when i never heard anything back about court dates etc i assumed i didnt have one. Turns out that was not exactly correct... When the dick cop put me in the back of the car to take me off i commented on the quality of the leather seats in the back to which he replied "its so we can wash off the blood easier" to which i replied "from the people you beat for no proof of insurance?". He kept quiet until we got to the station

What other hobbies do you have?

Fabrication, video games and computers and of course the most important, being a father!

How did you first hear about Eurowerks?

from poorscheg60 that i worked with.

If you could make a change to Eurowerks, what would it be and why?
Cant say id change anything about the website, theres a reason im here

It took having a kid and going to school full time to break me of a 5 year world of warcraft habit. Still havent brought myself to cancel my subscription, i just dont play it.
