Also had some fun with the wheeler yesterday. As I was driving around in the snow I was wondering how people must feel getting passed on the freeway by a lowered VW towing an atv?

BIR track days are a fucking blast. I did 2 last year with the "slowpokes". 8 hours of open track and open passing (or getting passed in my case), people loved seeing my diesel run around.

It would be fun to make smoke trails around the track...

I signed up for the June 2nd track day with slowpokes at BIR. I am looking forward to that.

Also made some progress with the timing partal throttle hesitation issue I was having. A few weeks ago I went to Jon's and we swapped out the HFLOX nozzles for some Bozio R520 nozzles. Jon did an excellent job of setting these up.
    Nozzle:

    Taking apart the old one:

Testing the nozzles as mounted on the bodies:

Hart and I drove to Grand Rapids MI the other Sunday to pick up an R Hatch. We got 51.4 on the way out there and 52.2mpg on the way back. So the nozzles seem to be doing well.

Did you have the Vette wheels on when you stopped by yesterday? I forgot to look for them.

How did you set the pop-pressure at Jon's? When I do my VNT17 I may be switching nozzles as well, I have 50K+ on my PP520 and they might now be the best for my modest power goals.

no I didn't. still had my steelies with winter tires on. I ordered the adapters for the vette wheels back in march and have had some major issues with usps getting them to me. I am hoping this week I will have them. thanks again for that hood.

    We used his gauge:

I think the pressures were 240/340 bar, but I don't remember the first one exactly.

I also got the vette wheels on. The rear coilovers are as low as they go so this is probably how it will sit.
