Well, yesterday I watched Dave buff out the Cabby. Today, fiddly bits go back on.

Found a working post style radio at ax man, going to be the core of a period correct system (complete with a common ground EQ to match it and possibly an external amp). Just need to wire in a 3.5mm headphone style jack in between the tape deck and the head unit's amp with some diodes so I can plug in whatever to it without a wire hanging out the front of the deck.

took off the "beauty" chrome strips off the caddy. Sanded it and ready for paint....anything will look better than how the farmer that painted it.

Shouldn't be to big of a problem. Don't hold your breath though, I'm not in a rush at this point to work on that project. Need to get on the suspension work. It's nearly undriveable.

I agree with this notion. Most/pretty much all decent newish head-units look like ass.
