I just rolled 220K on my TDI, figured the original owner may have never had it cleaned and if they did it was probably over 100K ago. All cleaned out and now i have a much happier car.

Pulled Freja out of storage, drove up and down the driveway a lot and washed her off

Downpipe was definitely effed.


Got the new 3" downpipe installed, but the rear O2 sensor doesn't seem to want to leave the old downpipe. I'll have to pick up a new one after work tomorrow.

Tried that today and it finally broke loose along with all the threads. I picked up a new one, installed it and drove the car with a solid exhaust for the first time in a while. I am in total love with the sound of my exhaust now. I was hoping to drive it around with the windows open more, but this stupid rain killed that plan. I also finally ordered new rear swaybar end links from McMaster, so I can install that when they arrive.

Had Leppy get my broken tie rod end off while i was at work. i'm pleased to say that a detail and swapping out wheels is the only thing i feel i need to do to start showing up to cars and coffee again.
