Sorta done with the paint job. A few things left to do, then get it to fire up.

Gave the monaro some much needed love with lots of new parts:

    Motor mounts
    Trans mounts
    Tie rods
    Plug wires
    Air filter
    MAF
    O2 sensors

    ..and a bath

Next week: complete suspension rebuild with a conservative drop

I saw the Monaro again today. You were heading north on 35 and I was heading south to the fair in my buddies crv. Monaro looked awesome as usual.

Front pads and rotors on the 3/4 Ton. Beefiest rotors I've ever seen.

But that would all hurt the MPGs.

True. But would be moar win. Personal experience, that flat paint job hurt MPGs. Waxed gloss paint does good for mileage.

I would like some aux lighting hidden in the grille area but that'll come when it's ready. Boat tail, low stagnation point bumper and 45 mpg sustained cruising with no shenanigans (EOC, P&G) come next. Excited!

I've read a few times that paint finish has little effect on drag since the boundary layer of slow air around the car gives you a little wiggle room. Got a fuel log?

    Gort!

Wow, so much excite for such a shitty car.

Got the battery charged and started it up.

Ordered plugs, cap, rotor and wires from Rockauto. Maybe I should set up a project thread here...
