Thank! Agree. Likely going to pull the front subframe this week so i can reinforce it and then pull the motor again because teh new flywheel should be here on friday.
Nope, no reason to run stainless piping on this car, just like we talked about. The muffler will likely be stainless though. Chris at Real Street was showing us how he coats all of the piping after it is welded up. Pretty sweet.
Exactly how I felt. They were working on a bagged S10 with an LS1 in it when we were there.
Well, aside from the pressurized air that finds its way into the valvetrain.... it is fairly common for boosted cars to see pressure in the valve cover region. However, I have never been one to worry about that more than just running a hose out. Shit, on my gti i ran without anything and sprayed oil all over my shiny engine bay. ha
2-3 weeks. Lots of work to do before then. I would like to have the exhuast done before it gets painted.
Mahoney talked me into polishing the barrels on the Kinesis wheels. So I started that last night.
If we built a small bracket so that the hose opening was always facing the rear of the car, there would be some solid vacuum any time you're moving forward.
I would hate for oil to come out of the line under boost and then have to worry about driving on it. Especially on a track day or something. I am sure the track attendants would love that. I am not sure how much oil would come out, but when you putting down in front of your rear wheels, any is more than I would want.

There most definitely needs a 'like' button on that photo.

kinda hard to photo the barrels under house lighting with a flash. just shows the imperfections and shit.
oh well. they look tits outside.
Plus it is a good way to rust proof the under side of the car... just have a light mist of oil on everything.
